Properties and stability

Avoid contact with strong oxidants and alkalis.

Storage method

Stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. They should be stored separately from oxidants and alkali metals, and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency release equipment and suitable containment materials.

Synthesis method

1. Mix urea, water and disodium hydrogen phosphate and heat to dissolve. Raise the temperature to 150-160°C and keep warm for 2 hours. After the reaction is completed, the reactants are poured into water and left overnight. The crystals are filtered out to obtain a crude product, which is recrystallized with dilute ammonia water to obtain the finished product biuret. In the production of urea, intermediate urine is used as raw material, and the finished product is obtained through high-temperature heat shrinkage, separation, and drying.

2.Urea co-production method is used industrially, using intermediate urine as raw material, and then heat shrinking, separating and drying at high temperature to obtain the finished product. In the laboratory, urea and disodium hydrogen phosphate can be dissolved in water, reacted at 150-160°C for 2 hours, and then poured into cold water overnight to separate the crystals, which is biuret.

Purpose

1. Used as pharmaceutical intermediates, growth hormones, foaming agents, and paint making

2.As a non-protein nitrogen source added to feed , this protein is synthesized by microorganisms in the rumen of animals to meet the animal’s protein needs and is safer than urea. It is an excellent animal feed additive.
