Properties and stability
Acid, alkali and hard water resistant. It has oxidizing properties in neutral and alkaline media, which can offset the reducing power of insurance powder and carving powder.
Storage method
Production equipment should be sealed, and operators should wear protective equipment to prevent accidental ingestion.
Packaged in chemical fiber drums lined with plastic bags, stored in a cool, ventilated and dry place, with a storage period of two years. Store and transport according to drug regulations.
Synthesis method
1. Nitrobenzene sulfonation method: Industrial production can be obtained by nitrobenzene sulfonation and neutralization. Raw material consumption quota: benzene (98%) 400kg/t; sulfuric acid (98%) 550kg/t; nitric acid (98%) 390kg/t; liquid alkali (30%) 500kg/t; fuming sulfuric acid (containing SO320%) 410kg /t; lime milk 550kg/t; soda ash (95%) 30kg/t.
2. Benzene sulfonation method Benzene is sulfonated with sulfuric acid, and then nitrated with nitric acid to produce m-nitrobenzene sulfonic acid, which is then neutralized with milk of lime and replaced with sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide to obtain the finished product.
Purpose
1. Used as vat dyes; anti-staining agent for sulfur dyes and color-forming protective agents for dyes, ship rust removers and electroplating nickel removers. It is also an intermediate between dyes and vanillin. It can also be used as a chemical reagent in chemical analysis.
2. This product is a mild oxidizing agent, used as a dyeing auxiliary. It can protect the color light when fabric printing or pad dyeing is steamed; it can prevent knife wires and cover sizing when fabrics are scouring and mercerizing; it can offset the effects of reducing substances during printing and dyeing. It can also be used as an oxidizing agent in dye synthesis. It is also an intermediate for synthetic dyes, a rust remover in the shipbuilding industry and a nickel remover in the electric power industry.
