Compatibility
CORONATE HX and other curing agents (CONORATE L, CORONATE HL, etc. ), polyols (acrylic polyols, alkyd polyols) have excellent compatibility. However, please conduct a compatibility test before mixing.
Application
Due to the two-component combination of CORONATE HX and acrylic polyol The coating has excellent weather resistance, is not easily affected by ultraviolet rays, and has little color change. It is used in automotive refinishing coatings and industrial coatings. A two-component paint composed of CORONATE HX and alkyd polyol is used as a woodworking paint. When CORONATE HX is added with a resin containing nitrocellulose-based, alkyd-based resin, or polyethylene resin, it can improve the paint’s physical properties such as chemical resistance. However, it is necessary to study the mixing ratio, etc. when using it.
Precautions for use
(1)When storing and keeping
Since CORONATE HX is a reactive isocyanate compound, care must be taken to avoid direct sunlight. , keep away from moisture and store in airtight containers. For long-term storage, please keep it in a temperature environment of 20~30℃.
(2)When using and changing packaging
Isocyanate is an extremely active substance. When reacting with water, CO2 gas is produced. When isocyanate is placed in a container mixed with moisture and stored in a sealed container, gas will be generated, which will increase the internal pressure of the container and cause the container to rupture. When small amounts are taken from one container many times, deterioration may occur due to the action of moisture in the air. Therefore, after opening and before sealing, it must be fully replaced with dry air, and great care should be taken to prevent moisture from mixing in
(3) When diluting
When diluting CORONATE HX with a solvent, you must not only pay attention to the moisture content in the solvent, but also pay attention to preventing moisture from mixing during the dilution operation. Please perform dilution work in a dry room.
