LUPRANATE® MS can be supplied in liquid tank truck or in solid form in non-recyclable steel drums, with a barrel capacity of 235kg. Tank truck transportation The temperature is maintained at 41°C to 45°C, and the temperature of the steel drum should be lower than -5°C.

Save
LUPRANATE® MS is sensitive to moisture and will turn yellow when exposed to light or exposure to air. The product will slowly self-polymerize to form dimers and precipitate out. In some special applications, the dimers may affect the performance of the final product. Dimers cannot decompose under heating conditions. Liquid Lupranate® MS can be stored under dry N2 protection at temperatures between 41°C and 45°C for approximately 2 weeks. To prevent crystallization, which requires precise control of tank and pipe temperatures, the recommended solution is to maintain Lupranate® MS circulation and use jacketed pipes. The jacket medium temperature must be strictly controlled and must not contain water, alcohol or alcohol/water mixtures. The tank bottom and pipe walls should be heated.
Solid products should be stored below -5°C without contact with moisture and oxygen. The shelf life of Lupranate® MS can be at least 6 months. .
The way to melt the solid product is to heat it in a hot air furnace at 80°C for 10-12 hours. The heating time should be shortened as much as possible. The product temperature should not be higher than 70°C during the heating process. Local overheating must be avoided, as the product will deteriorate and generate gas above 230°C. Therefore, the recommended melting method is to roll the bucket in a hot air stove at 80°C and mix thoroughly after melting. Proper handling and melting can keep the product clear and prevent the formation of dimers. It is not recommended to use hot water or steam to melt, as there is a risk of water entering the barrel through leaks and reacting with isocyanate.

Safety recommendations and environmental protection
Labeling, transportation, storage, application, and waste disposal must comply with relevant regulations. Occupational exposure limits must be observed.
Lupranate® MS is harmful if inhaled. It is irritating to the eyes, respiratory system and skin. Skin contact or inhalation may cause allergies.
Please read the Product Safety Data Sheet before using this product.
Residual materials in steel drums must be handled carefully to prevent any accidents. Water or moisture can react with Lupranate® MS and release carbon dioxide. Water or moisture must be avoided, otherwise the steel drum may rupture under pressure.
If BASF isocyanate products are used in the production of consumer products (such as those in contact with food or skin, toys, etc.) or medical supplies, they must Comply with relevant national and international regulations. It is recommended to contact our sales staff and Ecology and Product Safety department.
