Properties and stability
Stability and reactivity:
Materials to avoid: Moisture, moisture.
Products to be decomposed: carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
86g of rubidium acetate can be dissolved in 100mL of water at 45℃, and 89g of rubidium acetate can be dissolved in 100mL of water at 99℃. It is hygroscopic and should be kept airtight.
Storage method
Storage:
Seal the container and store it in a sealed main container in a cool, dry place.
Synthesis method
Add an appropriate amount of rubidium carbonate to the excess acetic acid aqueous solution in batches until carbon dioxide no longer escapes. Heat for a moment, filter, add a small amount of acetic acid to the filtrate, concentrate the filtrate, let it stand, crystals will precipitate, and filter with suction.
