Storage method
Storage Precautions[15] Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 37°C. Keep container tightly sealed. They should be stored separately from oxidants, alkalis, and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency release equipment and suitable containment materials.
Synthesis method
1. Preparation method:
Use 210g (48%) hydrobromic acid, 60g concentrated sulfuric acid, 88g (1.0mol) 1-pentanol (2), and 10g concentrated sulfuric acid, refer to the preparation method of 1-bromopropane, and use a fractionating column to evaporate the product , collect the fractions between 127 and 130°C to obtain 135g of 1-bromopentane (1), with a yield of 89%.
