Properties and stability

1.It has bactericidal, antistatic, softsoftening, moistening and foaming effects. It is heat-resistant, light-resistant, acid-resistant, hard water-resistant, and inorganic salt-resistant, but not alkali-resistant and does not evaporate in boiling water.

Storage method

1. Store in a cool and dry place.

2. Toxic or irritating chemicals such as benzyl chloride and amines are used in production. Benzyl chloride has tear-inducing properties. The equipment should be sealed and the operators should wear labor protection supplies.

Synthesis method

1. Obtained from the reaction of dimethyloctadecylamine and benzyl chloride. Add 450kg of molten dimethyloctadecylamine into the glass-lined reaction pot, raise the temperature to 80-85°C, slowly add 180kg of benzyl chloride within 1.5-2 hours, and control the temperature at 80-90°C. After the addition is completed, raise the temperature to 100-105°C and keep the reaction until pH 6-6.5 is the end point. Obtain 600kg leveling agent DC.

Purpose

1. Mainly used as a leveling agent when dyeing acrylic fiber with cationic dyes. The dyed fabric has a soft texture. It is also used as a softening finishing agent for acetate fiber and as a disinfectant and bactericide. It has strong affinity for acrylic fibers and has good level dyeing properties for cationic dyeing. It can be used in the same bath with cationic and nonionic surfactants. When used as a leveling agent for dyeing acrylic fiber with cationic dyes, the dosage should be determined according to the dye concentration. The lower the dye concentration, the greater the dosage. Generally, the dye dosage is greater than 0.1%, and the leveling agent DC dosage is 1.5-2%; the dye dosage is 0.1-1.5%, and the DC dosage is 1.5-1%; the dye dosage is 1-3%, and the DC dosage is 0.5-1%. Acrylic fiber is dyed with cationic dyes. If it is dyed or the color is too dark, leveling agent DC can be used to strip and re-dye it. Stripping is usually carried out in a bath containing 1-1.5% leveling agent DC, 10-20% unglazed powder, and 2-3% 30% acetic acid. The bath ratio is 1:40-80, the temperature is 98°C, and the treatment is 1.5 hours. Clean; soap to remove residual leveling agent DC on the fiber.

2.It can be used as a bactericidal algaecide, slime stripper and cleaning agent in the field of industrial circulating water treatment. At the same dosage (20 pieces/L), compared with dodecyldimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride, its killing rate of iron bacteria and sulfate reducing bacteria is higher than that of dodecyldimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride. Benzyl ammonium chloride, but the killing rate of the latter against heterotrophic bacteria is better than that of the former.
