Synthesis method

This product is extracted from the culture medium of Streptomyces erythreus An alkaline antibiotic. During purification, it is used to dissolve in different solvents at different pH levels, and repeatedly extracted with butyl acetate and aqueous solutions to achieve the purpose of concentration and purification. Finally, it is frozen and crystallized in butyl acetate solution to obtain erythromycin base.

Purpose

Erythromycin is a commonly used macrolide antibiotic with an antibacterial spectrum similar to that of penicillin. It is mainly used for patients who are allergic to penicillin, or who are allergic to penicillin. It can also be used for infections caused by penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, streptococci, pneumococci and diphtheria carriers.
