Ecological data

This substance is harmful to the environment and can cause pollution to water bodies and the atmosphere. Organic acids can easily form acid rain during atmospheric chemistry and atmospheric physical changes. Therefore, when the pH value drops below 5, it will cause serious harm to animals and plants, and the reproduction and development of fish will be seriously affected. Metals in the soil and water sediments in the watershed can be dissolved into the water and poison the fish. Acidification of water bodies will also lead to changes in the composition and structure of aquatic organisms. Acid-resistant algae and fungi will increase, while rooted plants, and then distill under reduced pressure to nearly dryness to remove as much nitric acid as possible. The residue was recrystallized with 100 mL diethyl ether and 1000 mL benzene, filtered while hot to remove insoluble nitrate, cooled, and filtered to obtain 185-198 g of glutaric acid (1), with a yield of 70%-75%. The mother liquor can be concentrated to obtain 18-23g of product. [2]

10. Preparation method:

In a container equipped with a stirrer and reflux condenser In the reaction bottle, add 86g (1.0mol) of γ -butyrolactone (2) and 72g of potassium cyanide (1.1mol). Heat the oil bath to 190~195°C with stirring and react for 2 hours. The reaction starts violently and then gradually slows down. Cool to 100℃, add 200mL hot water to dissolve. Slowly add concentrated hydrochloric acid until the Congo red test paper changes color. Then add 200 mL concentrated hydrochloric acid, and heat to reflux for 1 hour while stirring. Concentrate to dryness under reduced pressure. Crush the solid, add chloroform, boil and extract, using 200 mL of chloroform each time, repeat 4 times. Filter the chloroform solution while it’s hot. Combine the chloroform solutions, concentrate under reduced pressure to about 400 mL, cool and precipitate crystals. Filter, wash with cold chloroform, and dry to obtain 105 to 110 g of compound (1), with a yield of 79.5% to 83.5%. Recrystallize with water to obtain 94-99g of pure product, with a yield of 71%-75%.
