Preparation method
Pentamethyldivinyltriamine is generally obtained by N-methylation of diethylenetriamine as raw material, and the methylation methods include formic acid/formaldehyde method and formaldehyde hydrogenation method.
Properties and uses:
Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine is a highly active and strong foaming polyurethane catalyst, which can also be used to balance the overall foaming and gel reaction. It is widely used in all kinds of polyurethane rigid foam, including polyisocyanuric acid sheet rigid foam, also can improve the foam fluidity, so it can improve the production process and product quality. Pentamethyldivinyltriamine can also be used alone as a catalyst in polyurethane foam formulations or in combination with other catalysts such as DNCHA. When used alone as a catalyst for rigid foam, the dosage range is 1.0-2.0 parts per 100 parts per mass of polyol. In addition to its use in rigid foam formulations, Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine can also be used in the production of polymeter-type polyurethane flexible block foams and molded foams.
