Overview:
Triethylenediamine, also known as triethylenediamine. White or light yellow crystal. Ammonia odor, this product is an organic synthesis intermediate, synthetic light stabilization materials, widely used in polyurethane foam, elastomers and plastic products and molding process. Physical and chemical properties
TEDA is colorless or white crystal, easy to absorb moisture in the air and agglomerate, alkaline, can absorb CO2 in the air and yellow. It is soluble in acetone, benzene and ethanol. Pure TEDA toxicity is very small, inhalation of saturated TEDA vapor will cause slight mucous membrane irritation, damage to the eyes, irritation of the skin will cause allergies.

Preparation method:
There are several methods to synthesize TEDA at home and abroad, and the general process is to pass an aqueous solution of amine or alcoholamine raw material at a certain flow rate through a reactor filled with catalytic zeolite, react at 320-400°C and 0.3MPa, and then purify it to obtain TEMA.
The use of piperazine and its derivatives for the preparation of TEDA, the efficiency of the product is high and the process is mature to achieve industrialization. However, the output of piperazine and its derivatives in our country is small and the price is high, while the use of ethanolamine as raw material for the production of TEDA, the supply is sufficient, the operation is simple, the cost is low, and it is industrialized in Japan, so it is feasible in China.

Triethylene diamine is a kind of tertiary amine compound with double heterocyclic structure, which is mainly used as gel catalyst for polyurethane foam, and widely used in flexible, semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foam and elastomer, in addition, it can be used as catalyst for epoxy resin curing, catalyst for ethylene polymerization, catalyst for propylene, catalyst for acrylolynes polymerization and catalyst for ethylene oxide polymerization.
